I'm going GENTING tomorrow and I am sick. Lost my voice but am recovering very slowly. Didn't have dinner last night as I didn't feel like eating anything. Actually I just dun feel like eating AT ALL. This always happens when I get a sore throat.

Been getting comments from friends that I am slim or thin. Some even says that I look like I am "breakable" but then I do not feel that I am thin at all. I am slim but have that tummy which isn't very nice to look at. Haiz. Too lazy to exercise somemore. I got to start doing some crunches to get that tummy trimmed. By the way, those who think that I look breakable...I am not! Still have another 2.5kg to lose to get back to my original weight!

I realise that I have been too independent in a way. I seem to look strong on my outlook and being able to take care of myself. But sometimes I just want someone to take care of me. Is that something that's difficult to ask?

Anyway, Friday was my last day in SCS. I feel sad...really...not because of the company...but because of the people I work with. It was a pity that I didn't know who my boss was going to be. If I knew, I might not move as I know she will give me more opportunities to learn more things and I get along very well with her. She is SCS's talent and it would have been great to learn from her.

Someone was nice enough to buy flowers for me. He was so sweet to get them. Luckily he left his name out from the flowers if not, he will probably be teased for life. No one had bought me flowers before...eh...actually there was once when I was working in Donovan 8 yrs ago. The suppliers bought be "sweet" flowers (sweets made into flowers) for my last day in the office. R hasn't bought me any flowers in the office before. Weird rite? (But it was something that I had hoped for last time that he will send me some flowers...but it's something that probably will not happen till the longest time).

There are people who envy R but knowing myself, I think I pity him more. I ain't an easy person to live with. I have my needs and demands and can get upset if I do not meet those critieria and things that I set my mind having. I hate last minute changes. I hate it that I get blame for things I didn't do. I hate it that things I plan do not go my way. Haiz..

Seems like there is alot of stuff to update. I drove the Mazda 5 home yesterday. Smooth ride but I was gripping the wheel like crazy. First time driving a MPV...it's huge. Have a tough time judging the right side. Later will drive to IKEA for lunch and hopefully be able to park. (oh, if R and I ever join Amazing race, we probably will end up killing each other. He can never give directions or listen to directions well!)

Okay..that's about it.

Simple personality test: http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx
Try it if u wish!

So do you agree with the result below about me?

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.
Your views on educationYou may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
How do you view success:You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:
You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Went to Phuket for a few days for a break.

Hotel:
(a) Poppa Palace (Patong)
Room - was good, except no bath tub and it faces nothing
Location - so so (didn't matter as we had transport)
Breakfast - bad on the 1st day, but on the 2nd day it was good (their spaggatti was good <- imagine that for breakfast!)
Service - so so
Price paid - SGD33/night

(b) Baan Boa (Patong)
Room - had pool access and a bath tub but I preferred Poppa's room
Location - quiet end of the beach, which is good
Breakfast - so-so
Service - good
Price paid - SGD52/night (not worth as there was a construction going on till Sept 2008!)

Tours:
(a) 4in1 Canoe in Phang-Nga Bay (under Amazing Canoe)
-James Bond Island, Panak Island
-Hong Island and Naka Island

(b) Simon Cabaret
Agent - Sri Nuch (Located diagionally opposite Salathai, in front of Family Mart).
Price paid - 1550 baht/pax for both tours

Food
(a) Number 6 restaurant
Cheap food, there is alot of people.
Seafood Tom Yam - 150 baht (very good serving)
Phai Thai - 50 baht (very good)
Chicken Green Curry Soup - 80 baht (good)
Sweet and Sour Pork - 80 baht (horrible)
Watermelon shake - 50 baht (good)
Mango shake - 50 baht (so-so)
and other dishes

(b) Cocoa-nut seafood restuarant
Steam prawns - 6 pieces for 400 baht (very good)
La-La - 150 baht (alot but not so nice because cook in curry. Shld get them to cook in a different manner)
Phai Thai - 120 baht (good but I prefer the one at number 6 and it's cheap there)
Tempura - 150 baht (not too bad)
Coconut shake - 60 baht (die die must drink! It's that good)

(c) Fuji restuarant
Food is considered cheap there. We ordered a bento set with chawamushi (220 baht) and a beef teriyaki (120 or 150 baht), both were good. Their drinks were so-so as it was too sweet...but we added alot of water!

(d) Tattoos
R and I both did a tattoo. It was a first for me. We paid a total of 4000 baht. Here's a pic.

(e) Motorbike (150 cc)

It's very cheap to rent a bike in Phuket and it's actually advisable especially if you wish to go to different beach. We even manage to transport our luaggage from 1 hotel to another hotel...hence saving us some bahts from hiring a tuk-tuk or cab. (I read that to travel from Patong to Kata cost around 500 - 600 baht one-way!). We travelled from Patong to Kamala beach. The next day we went to Karon and Kata beach. And the cost only....150 bath x 2 days + 155 baht for gasoline (which we used only about half)...total 455 baht. I told R that next time when we go Phuket (which I swear I will go next yr!), we are going to stay in different beach(looks good) and rent a motorbike and go travel from 1 beach to another!

(f) Let's Relax - Blooming Spa

This was a great treat. The massage itself was considered good but hard cos it's not with oil. The foot massage was fantastic. The package we took was called Heavenly relax and it cost us 1000 baht each for 2hrs and 45 mins (actually it was over 3hrs). Place was spacious and relaxing...it was damn soothing. Love it!

Total expenses $1500. (includes airfare - expensive cos it was booked last minute.)

Will update more pictures later....

Jay's philsophy

Each of us are brought to this world for some reason, though now most of us have yet to figure out what it can be! Some of us have tough challenges (more bad times), just think of it that the person "up there" is thinking highly of you. Just remember good times will always come after bad times. That's how I try to keep sane.
